Foreman / Superintendent
At CFOL, Field
Foremen and Superintendents play a
key role in supervising or overseeing field
employees and contractors in the conduct of
production activities which maximize production
and minimize operating costs of new and existing
company oil and gas wells. More specifically,
a Field Foreman or Superintendent may be responsible
for performing the following functions:
- Organize and coordinate
activities of service and field office personnel.
- Supervise well completions,
workovers, stimulations and construction projects.
- Optimize well, plant
and battery operating and production efficiency.
- Monitor field operating
costs, prepare invoice approvals, expense
and workover reports, and inventory transfers.
- Stay abreast of all
government and regulatory agency regulations
with respect to safety and environmental matters
and ensure compliance with these and the Company
policy.
- Act as a liaison with
surface land owners and the public.
- Coordinate activities
with the department manager and other department
staff.
- Work with other departments
to ensure processes are efficient and meeting
internal standards.
Field Foremen and Superintendents
generally require a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering
and direct field experience has been considered
an asset. Engineers must also be skilled in
leading people, achieving results, negotiation,
analysis, problem solving, decision-making,
planning, organizing, communication, and financial
responsibility.
A Field Foreman and Superintendent
in this role works closely with other team members
in the field and in the office and may be required
to visit office locations on an occasional basis.
A Field Foreman and Superintendent are required
to be on-call and attend to emergencies that
occur outside of regular office hours. |
