Technician
At CFOL, Production
Technicians play a key role in performing
various production related technical and clerical
duties. More specifically, a Production Technician
may be responsible for performing the following
functions:
- Provide accurate and
timely reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly
production volumes for all operated and non-operated
wells.
- Ensure volumes are allocated
correctly per current nominations, gas balancing/makeup
and working interest splits.
- Audit volumes and related
data within the master files and release data
to other departments.
- Prepare and maintain
accurate well histories, well bore diagrams,
and project timelines for key activities.
- Assist in property evaluations
for acquisitions and divestitures.
- Assist Engineers with
the preparation of well-work procedures and
associated regulatory body/government filings.
- Maintain vendor contracts
and current insurance certificates.
- Coordinate activities
with the department manager and other department
staff.
- Work with other departments
to ensure processes are efficient and meeting
internal standards.
Production Technicians
generally require a Certificate in Petroleum
Technology and industry experience has been
considered an asset. Technicians must also be
skilled in analysis, problem solving, decision-making,
planning, organizing, meeting deadlines, multi-tasking,
and communication. Experience with computer
applications is essential.
A Technician in this role
works closely with other team members in the
office and the field. Depending on the position,
they may be required to perform work outside
of regular office hours. |
